Christopher Hui to visit Belgium, UK
Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Christopher Hui will depart for a visit to Belgium and the UK tomorrow morning.
Apart from promoting the unique advantages of Hong Kong’s financial service sector, the visit aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship with the two countries as well as the European Commission.
Mr Hui’s journey will cover Brussels from April 13 to 15 and London from 16 to 18.
The treasury chief will have bilateral meetings with senior officials, financial and business leaders as well as enterprise representatives in Belgium, the UK and the European Commission.
He will update them on Hong Kong’s financial services development, in particular fintech and green finance.
He will also attend the Innovate Finance Global Summit 2023 to share views on the theme of virtual assets and Web 3.0, and speak at the Hong Kong Association luncheon.
During Mr Hui’s visit, Under Secretary Joseph Chan will be Acting Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury.
