The Government announced today that the income and asset limits of the Working Family Allowance Scheme will be raised starting April 1.

The new limits will be applicable to the claim months from April 2023 to March 2024.

The scheme aims to support lower-income working families which are not on Comprehensive Social Security Assistance and have longer working hours.

It is designed to reward hard work, with the allowance assessed on a monthly basis according to the household’s income and working hours.

Eligible children will also be granted a Child Allowance.

The claim period of an application covers the six months immediately before the submission of the application, and an eligible household must submit an application for every claim period.
