Secretary for Health Prof Lo Chung-mau will lead a delegation to Guangdong tomorrow to visit its Health Commission and the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, with a view to further strengthening exchanges and co-operation between Hong Kong and Guangdong in healthcare.

Members of the delegation include Director of Health Dr Ronald Lam, the Health Bureau's Commissioner for Primary Healthcare Dr Pang Fei-chau and Hospital Authority Chairman Henry Fan.

During the trip, the delegation will also attend the opening ceremony of the Nansha International Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University and visit the Big Data Centre of National Health Commission for Human Tissue Organ Transplant & Medicine, the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital's Huawei Li Zhi Yuan Community Health Center as well as a community health service centre under the Luohu Hospital Group.

The delegation is also scheduled to attend the Shenzhen Hospital Accreditation Research Center's launch meeting.

Prof Lo will return to Hong Kong on March 31. During his absence, Under Secretary for Health Dr Libby Lee will be Acting Secretary.
