Job fair to be held Mar 30

The Labour Department will hold a job fair and expo at the Convention & Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on March 30 to provide over 3,000 vacancies from various industries for job seekers.

 

Around 35 organisations participating in the Pursuing New Opportunities Job Fair will set up booths and conduct recruitment on the spot. Of some 2,600 vacancies on offer, more than 1,200 come from the catering, retail and hotel industries.

 

The vacancies cover the positions of senior sales manager, accounting officer, systems engineer, investment analyst, community relations officer, marine operations assistant officer, aircraft engineering licence trainee, e-commerce assistant, nutritionist, registered nurse, marketing assistant and customer services officer.

 

Most vacancies offer monthly salaries ranging from $12,000 to $23,000 and around 81% of them are full time jobs.

 

Among the vacancies, about 84% require a Secondary 7 education level or below and about 68% are open to people without relevant work experience.

 

Additionally, more than 20 organisations from various industries will participate in the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme Job Expo, providing over 400 job vacancies in the bay area Mainland cities to eligible graduates at a monthly salary of not less than HK$18,000.

 

Such vacancies include management trainee, administrative executive, banking operations officer, news editor, product designer, engineer and business intelligence analyst.

 

Hong Kong residents awarded a bachelor’s degree or above from 2021 to 2023 can apply for these vacancies.

 

The event will be held from 11am to 5.30pm at Hall 3G of the Convention & Exhibition Centre with free admission, during which job seekers can submit job applications and may be selected for on-the-spot interviews.
