The Transport Department announced that the automated parking system (APS) in a short-term tenancy car park in Tai Po will commence operation tomorrow.

It is located at Fo Shing Road of Pak Shek Kok. The tenant has adopted four modules of a puzzle stacking system to provide 52 automated parking spaces out of a total of about 250 parking spaces at the site.

The tenancy, with a fixed term of five years and thereafter half-yearly, was awarded in December last year.

Meanwhile, tender invitation for another short-term tenancy of a Government plot of land at the junction of Tung Chau Street and Yen Chow Street West in Sham Shui Po designated for APS installation has been completed, the department said.

Tender assessment will be carried out and the system is expected to commence operation in early 2024, it added.
