Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung urged parents to act fast in arranging COVID-19 vaccination for their children during her attendance at a parent-child event today.

"Children with jabs, parents with ease" education activities were held at the D·PARK in Tsuen Wan in which teachers and students from kindergartens and parents designed game booths for the participants to ascertain the importance of COVID-19 vaccination together with their families.

There was also a sharing session by a paediatrician and an artiste, along with a performance of a song with the jab as its theme.

A mobile station was set up at the venue to provide jab service of five kinds of COVID-19 vaccine for people of different ages. They are Sinvoac vaccine, BioNTech bivalent vaccine, BioNTech ancestral strain vaccine and paediatric and toddler formulations of the BioNTech vaccine.

Mrs Yeung said children will be more likely to get infected as gatherings and activities are frequent in the run-up to the Christmas and New Year holidays, and parents should arrange vaccination for them as soon as possible.

Seniors, like the young people, should receive the required dosage of vaccine for the best protection, she added.
