Sinovac, BioNTech at 13 hospitals
Starting next Monday, the 13 COVID-19 vaccination stations in public hospitals will provide walk-in jab service with both the Sinovac and BioNTech vaccines, the Government announced today.
Children aged at least six months but below 12 can get a Sinovac jab, while people aged 12 or above can be vaccinated with either Sinovac or BioNTech, it explained.
The 13 centres used to administer the BioNTech vaccine only. Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung said the new arrangement will offer the public more choices.
The jab stations are located at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, Ruttonjee Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Caritas Medical Centre, Princess Margaret Hospital, Yan Chai Hospital, Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital, North District Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Pok Oi Hospital, and Tuen Mun Hospital.
The Princess Margaret Hospital jab station opens from 9am to 6pm on weekdays except public holidays. The last vaccination is at 5.30pm.
The remaining 12 operate from 10am to 7pm on weekdays except public holidays, and the last vaccination is at 6.30pm.
All of them remain open during lunch hours, the Government noted.
