Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung (second left) receives an on-site briefing on the design of the Lai Chi Kok Park Community Vaccination Station.

Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung today inspected the Lai Chi Kok Park Community Vaccination Station (CVS) that will provide Sinovac vaccination services to the public starting tomorrow.

Apart from the well-prepared park station, three private clinic jab stations, at Chi Lok Fa Yuen in Tuen Mun, Kornhill Plaza Office Tower in Quarry Bay and Ice House Street in Central, will also come into operation on the same day.

Mrs Yeung said the Government will adopt a more flexible and cost-effective strategy to set up vaccination stations at locations with convenient transportation or high patronage to make it convenient for people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Under this strategy, another CVS, at Wong Tai Sin Square, will provide Sinovac and BioNTech vaccination services to the public from October 12, with online reservations available from 9am on October 7.

Mrs Yeung reminded unvaccinated elderly people or those who are due to receive their next dose to get the jab as soon as possible. She also urged parents to act fast and bring their young children to receive vaccination.
