The Civil Service Bureau today launched a biennial open recruitment exercise for the post of Assistant Clerical Officer (ACO).

The bureau will recruit about 2,000 ACOs on civil service terms in two years.

The ACOs will be assigned to perform general administrative support and clerical duties or frontline services in different government bureaus or departments.

The recruitment is open to all permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including candidates of this year's Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination candidates.

Entry requirements for the post have been uploaded to the bureau's website.

The closing date for application is August 11.

Application forms are available online, at Home Affairs Enquiry Centres and Labour Department job centres.

Applicants can submit applications online or by post to the General Grades Office.
