CE, LegCo hold exchange session
Chief Executive John Lee today said the new antechamber exchange sessions create a mutual understanding and opportunities for government officials and lawmakers to have dialogues and exchange ideas.
Speaking to reporters after attending the first of the Government's informal monthly exchanges at the Legislative Council this morning, Mr Lee said the main purpose of the sessions is to create a good understanding and rapport while also formalising communication opportunities.
“This is the number one stage in which I hope, through the processes and experiences, we will be proceeding to higher levels. It will be a dynamic situation, a dynamic exercise for us officials and legislators to find ways so that we will enhance governance by good communication, understanding and co-operation.”
