President Xi Jinping today met Chief Executive Carrie Lam, members of the executive, the legislature and the judiciary, disciplined services representatives and people from various sectors at the Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Accompanied by Mrs Lam, President Xi met the Chief Justice, the Legislative Council President, non-official members of the Executive Council, as well as the principal officials and permanent secretaries of the fifth-term Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.

President Xi also met around 160 people from various Hong Kong sectors and representatives of the disciplined services.

In the evening, Mrs Lam hosted a dinner for the President and his wife at Government House. Greeting them on arrival were the Chief Executive and her husband Lam Siu-por, as well as Chief Executive-elect John Lee and his wife Janet Lee.
