Hospital Authority chief reappointed
Dr Tony Ko has been reappointed as the Hospital Authority’s Chief Executive for a three-year term from August 1.
The reappointment has been endorsed by the authority’s board and approved by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Announcing the appointment today, the authority's Chairman Henry Fan said Dr Ko has led the authority to overcome many challenges in the past three years, in particular to cope with the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Mr Fan added that Dr Ko also implemented a series of staff retention measures to address the challenge of manpower shortages.
The chairman said with the strong support from the Government, he is confident Dr Ko will continue to work closely with all the authority’s staff committed to the sustainability of public healthcare service and citizens’ well-being.
