The Chief Executive has reappointed Vincent Ng as Harbourfront Commission Chairman, while Sunnie Lau, Dr Lawrence Li and Frankie Yeung will join the commission as new individual members.

Incumbent members Janice Lai and Christina Maisenne Lee will also stay for another term.

All five will serve for two years from July 1.

Welcoming the appointments and reappointments, Secretary for Development Michael Wong said Mr Ng has demonstrated superb leadership in guiding the commission in implementing various harbourfront projects and initiatives since becoming chairman in 2018.

Mr Wong highlighted the 7.4-km promenade spanning from Shek Tong Tsui to the East Coast Park Precinct, the longest continuous parade along Victoria Harbour, as an important achievement during Mr Ng’s chairmanship.

“I look forward to furthering partnership with Mr Ng for building an even more vibrant harbourfront for the community.”

The development chief said with their wide-ranging professional experience and expertise, the other five appointed members will provide valuable comments on the commission’s work. 

Mr Wong thanked the three outgoing members Kelly Chan, Alan Lo and Ngan Man-yu for their invaluable contribution in promoting harbourfront development in the past six years.
