Four free-of-charge Territory-wide Physical Fitness Survey for the Community test days will be held from June to August, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced today.

Covering 8,500 citizens aged between seven and 79, the survey aims to set up a database on the physical fitness of Hong Kong people, identify the relationship between their physical exercise patterns and physical fitness as well as assist the Government in identifying priority areas for improvement to enhance the community’s overall physical fitness, the department explained.

Participants completing the survey will get a physical fitness test report and a souvenir pack.

Citizens aged between 17 and 59 may join the test days to be held from late June to mid-August. The test, which takes around one hour, will be carried out on June 30 at Tung Chung Man Tung Road Sports Centre, on July 10 at Kowloon City Sports Centre, on August 13 at Siu Lun Sports Centre in Tuen Mun, and on August 14 at Tiu Keng Leng Sports Centre in Tseung Kwan O.

Those interested may register in advance on the designated webpage, or enrol on the test days on a first come, first served basis, the department added.
