Non-local jab declaration quota added

May 5, 2022

The Food & Health Bureau today announced that while the Government is updating its system to reintroduce the online platform for declaration of non-local vaccination record later on, HongKong Post has internally deployed manpower and increased service counters to raise the daily quotas so as to meet the service need.

The bureau explained in a press release that the decision was made in the light of the Vaccine Pass arrangement that is entering its second stage and commencing its third stage from May 31.

Starting today, the daily quota for non-local jab record declaration has been doubled from 1,200 cases to 2,400 cases. It will be further increased to 3,000 cases from next week onwards.

Based on the arrangements announced yesterday, only those who arrived in Hong Kong from May 1 to 4 and are subject to compulsory quarantine, as well as those who arrived from the Mainland or Macau from May 1 and are not subject to compulsory quarantine, need to obtain a Provisional Vaccine Pass at the 18 designated post offices.

As for people who arrived in the city on or after May 5 and are subject to compulsory quarantine, they will receive a Provisional Vaccine Pass at boundary control points.

To provide an additional channel for the public to declare their non-local jab record, the online platform for people to declare their foreign vaccination record will be reintroduced after a system update, the bureau added.
