Starting today, people aged 60 or above who are eligible to receive the fourth dose of a COVID-19 vaccine can get their jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs) or vaccination stations at public hospitals by obtaining a same-day ticket.

The Government announced that people aged 60 or above may receive the fourth dose of the Sinovac or BioNTech vaccine at least three months after their third dose for better protection.

All CVCs providing the Sinovac vaccine and those providing the BioNTech jab to people aged 12 or above, as well as the vaccination stations at public hospitals will distribute same-day tickets to people aged 60 or above, except for the CVC at the CUHK Medical Centre in Sha Tin and the satellite CVC at Leighton Centre in Causeway Bay.

In addition, the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme's online booking system will be enhanced to enable eligible people to make appointments for receiving the fourth dose from 8am on April 14.
