The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today announced that the State Council has decided to remove John Lee from the post of Chief Secretary.

The State Council made the decision on April 7 in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Basic Law on the recommendation of Chief Executive Carrie Lam.
