Property sales drop 4.3%

The Land Registry recorded 3,828 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in March, down 4.3% from February and 57.8% lower year-on-year.

 

The total consideration for such agreements dipped 3.4% from February to $34.8 billion in March, and a 55.4% year-on-year decrease was recorded.

 

Of the agreements, 2,869 were for residential units, down 1.5% from last month and 61.5% lower than a year ago.

 

The total consideration of residential units was $26.9 billion, a decrease of 8.6% compared with February and a drop of 61.2% from March 2021.

 

There were 376,631 land register searches last month.
