Centres' jab service to be extended
The Department of Health today announced that its 11 elderly health centres (EHCs) will extend their COVID-19 vaccination walk-in service until May 31 to continue to provide the Sinovac vaccine for people aged 65 or above.
The vaccination time slots at such centres are 8.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm from Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
Seniors must present their identity cards for registration on a first come, first served basis. If the daily quota is full, staff at the centres will arrange another date and time of vaccination for them.
Additionally, the COVID-19 vaccination walk-in service will continue to be provided at the EHCs in Wan Chai, Kwai Shing and Tai Po for their members aged 65 or above on operating days without prior booking.
The department pointed out that the remaining four EHCs in San Po Kong, Shau Kei Wan, Yau Ma Tei and Yuen Long are temporarily closed as they are situated at the same locations as the Hospital Authority's designated clinics.
