887 cases found in restricted areas
The Government today announced that 887 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Tuen Mun, Tsing Yi, Ho Man Tin, Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin and Ngau Chi Wan.
It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday for Oi Hei House of Yau Oi Estate in Tuen Mun, where 1,640 people were tested and 206 preliminary positive cases were identified.
At Hang Chui House of Cheung Hang Estate in Tsing Yi, 1,310 people underwent a virus test and 59 of them were preliminarily infected with COVID-19.
At Tak Man House of Oi Man Estate in Ho Man Tin, 1,300 people took the test, with 209 initial cases found.
As for Tin Lok and Tin Fai houses of Shun Tin Estate in Kwun Tong, 1,540 people took a virus test, with 222 preliminary positive cases reported.
Meanwhile at Fu Yan House of Fu Shan Estate in Wong Tai Sin, 186 out of 1,140 people were found initially infected.
Additionally, at Fortune Garden in Ngau Chi Wan, 170 people took the test, with five initial cases found.
There were also 80 indeterminate cases in the restricted areas, the Government added.
