1.2k virus cases in restricted areas
The Government today announced that 1,273 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises involving five restricted areas in Kwun Tong, Cheung Sha Wan, Sha Tin and Kwai Chung.
It made restriction-testing declarations yesterday to cover Sau Ming House of Sau Mau Ping Estate in Kwun Tong, Chun Lai and Chun Yin houses of Hang Chun Court in Cheung Sha Wan, where about 1,800 and 1,980 people were tested.
The other three declarations covered Foo Wo House of Wo Che Estate, Foo Wai House of Sun Tin Wai Estate in Sha Tin, and Shek Chun House of Shek Lei (I) Estate in Kwai Chung, where 1,580, 1,200 and 1,730 people took the test.
A total of 285 preliminary positive cases were detected in Sau Ming House, 269 in Chun Lai and Chun Yin houses, 309 in Foo Wo House, 202 in Foo Wai House and 208 in Shek Chun House.
There were also 66 indeterminate cases in the six buildings.
The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
