The Guangdong COVID-19 medical expert delegation today continued its Hong Kong visit by meeting local experts and health professionals at two hospitals.

During a visit to Prince of Wales Hospital, the delegation discussed and studied serious COVID-19 cases with Hospital Authority representatives.

It also listened to presentations by the Government's expert adviser Prof David Hui and medical staff on the treatment for serious cases.

The delegation then toured the hospital's intensive care unit and accident and emergency department to understand their operation.

In the afternoon, the Mainland experts went to Hong Kong Children's Hospital where they conducted in-depth exchanges with local paediatric experts on the diagnosis and treatment of children infected with COVID-19.

Secretary for Food & Health Prof Sophia Chan said that the delegation had an in-depth exchange of anti-epidemic experiences with health and clinical professionals in Hong Kong, which can help the city in providing suitable treatment for confirmed patients in a more effective manner.
