Amid the severe COVID-19 epidemic situation, the construction industry will, with the Development Bureau’s support, start a new round of construction site inspections from tomorrow.

The bureau said Construction Industry Council and Construction Association inspection teams will proactively review the preventive measures adopted at various construction sites, such as the construction workers’ vaccination and regular testing situation, provision of ventilation facilities and rest area arrangement.

The teams will offer recommendations for improvement as necessary.

Additionally, the works departments have again reminded contractors of public works projects to ensure strict compliance with the precautionary measures at construction sites. They will continue to carry out site inspections regularly.
