Aid for cross-boundary transport set

The Transport Department and the Marine Department will issue notification letters to registered owners of cross-boundary coaches and hire cars as well as cross-boundary ferry operators on the subsidy details under the fifth round of the Anti-epidemic Fund, the Transport & Housing Bureau announced today.

 

Registered owners of licensed cross-boundary coaches including port shuttle buses will be provided a one-off non-accountable subsidy of $30,000 per vehicle. About 1,500 coaches are expected to benefit.

 

Registered owners of licensed cross-boundary hire cars will be given a one-off non-accountable subsidy of $30,000 per vehicle with the goal of assisting 600 hire cars.

 

Cross-boundary ferry operators will be issued a one-off non-accountable subsidy of $500,000 per ferry. Such aid is expected help about 80 ferries.
