Government staff assist people subject to compulsory testing in the restricted area covering Kui Wo House, Tai Wo Estate in Tai Po to undergo COVID-19 testing.

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercises and enforcement operations for the two restricted areas in Tai Po and Cheung Sha Wan were completed today with no positive COVID-19 cases found.

It made restriction-testing declarations last night to cover Kui Wo House, Tai Wo Estate in Tai Po and Po Wah Court in Cheung Sha Wan, requiring people in the two specified areas to stay in their premises and undergo mandatory testing.

About 2,360 people in the Tai Po restricted area and around 190 in the Cheung Sha Wan one were tested.

In the subsequent enforcement operations, about 1,020 people's test records were checked. Eighteen people were found to be non-compliant and were issued with a compulsory testing order.

Government staff also visited around 900 households in the two restricted areas, of which some 60 did not answer the door. Such households are urged to contact the Government promptly to arrange testing.

According to the compulsory testing notices issued yesterday, those who had stayed in the two buildings within a specified period for more than two hours must undergo testing by tomorrow even if they were not in the restricted areas when the declarations took effect.
