All parking meters replaced

January 17, 2022

The Transport Department today said it has completed the replacement of about 9,800 Octopus card-operated parking meters by new parking meters as one of the smart mobility initiatives.

The new parking meters support the parking fee payment through multiple means and are equipped with sensors to detect whether a parking space is occupied.

Other than on-site parking fee payments, the new meters also support remote payments through the mobile application HKeMeter.

The department also reminded e-Park card holders who wish to apply for a refund to visit designated outlets on or before June 30, otherwise no refund can be made.
