Orderly testing:

A staff member collects samples through combined nasal and throat swabs for a resident subject to compulsory testing in the Tseung Kwan O restricted area.

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the restricted area in Tseung Kwan O covering Tower 4, Bauhinia Garden finished today with no positive COVID-19 cases found.

It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday evening, requiring people within the specified area to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing.

The area covered Tower 4, Bauhinia Garden in Tong Chun Street where about 1,110 citizens were tested.

In the subsequent enforcement operation, about 210 people’s test records were checked. Fourteen were found not having undergone mandatory testing.

Government staff also visited around 400 households in the restricted area, of which 20 did not answer the door. These households are urged to contact the Government promptly to arrange testing.

According to the compulsory testing notice issued yesterday, those who had stayed in the building within a specified period for more than two hours must undergo testing by tomorrow even if they were not in the restricted area when the declaration took effect.
