3k rapid test kits to be given out

January 14, 2022

In view of suspected silent transmission chains in Tuen Mun, the Home Affairs Department will distribute 3,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits to the district's residents and urge them to take the test themselves.

Volunteers from Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link will help distribute the rapid test kits, in the hope of identifying infections early.

Residents and those working in Tuen Mun who are exposed to infection risks are urged to undergo testing as soon as possible.

The Government noted that it does not accept rapid test kit testing as a recognised method for fulfilling the compulsory testing requirement.

If feeling unwell, even if the symptoms are very mild, people should seek medical advice promptly and get tested under the instructions of a healthcare worker.
