Compulsory testing exercises done
The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercises and enforcement operations for the three restricted areas in Tuen Mun and Causeway Bay finished today with no positive COVID-19 cases found.
It made restriction-testing declarations yesterday evening, requiring people within the three specified areas to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing.
The areas covered Causeway Tower and Chesterfield Mansion in Causeway Bay as well as Block 2 of Tsui Ning Garden in Tuen Mun where 150, 120 and 985 citizens were tested.
In the subsequent enforcement operations, about 415 people’s test records were checked. A compulsory testing order was issued to 10 individuals who were found to have not undergone mandatory testing.
Government staff also visited around 525 households in the three restricted areas, of which some 85 did not answer the door. Such households are urged to contact the Government promptly to arrange testing.
According to the compulsory testing notices issued yesterday, those who have stayed in Tsui Ning Garden from December 12, 2021, to January 4, as well as those who have stayed in Causeway Tower or Chesterfield Mansion from December 15, 2021, to January 4 for more than two hours must undergo testing by tomorrow even if they were not in the restricted areas when the declarations took effect.
