Causeway Bay restricted areas set
The Government tonight made restriction-testing declarations for two buildings in Causeway Bay due to a preliminary positive COVID-19 case involving a mutant strain.
The declaration for Causeway Tower, 16-22 Causeway Road became effective from 10.30pm and the one for Chesterfield Mansion, 11 Kingston Street came into effect at 11.05pm. The exercises for both places aim to be finished by 8am tomorrow.
People in the restricted areas are required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing in these two places before 3am and 2am respectively.
Those who have been tested from January 2 to 4 and can provide the SMS notification or related certification containing the test results do not need to get tested again.
According to today’s compulsory testing notice, people who had been at the premises for more than two hours from December 15 to January 4 must undergo compulsory testing by January 6 even if they were not in the restricted areas when the declarations took effect. Vaccinated people are not exempted.
