Athletes start HK visit

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Mainland Olympians delegation arrived in Hong Kong today to start a three-day visit.

 

Led by General Administration of Sport of China Deputy Director Yang Ning, the Olympians delegation arrived in Hong Kong around noon.

 

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government held a welcome ceremony at the Shenzhen Bay Port to receive the delegation.

 

The athletes were greeted by Secretary for Home Affairs Caspar Tsui, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Vincent Liu, the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR Liaison Office's Department of Publicity, Cultural & Sports Affairs Deputy Director-General Zheng Lin and Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, President Timothy Fok.

 

The athletes will attend a welcome reception and banquet hosted by the Hong Kong SAR Government this evening. The public will be able to see them up close in three public events which will be two sports demonstrations and a variety show tomorrow.
