Mainland higher education expo set

November 29, 2021

The Mainland Higher Education Expo 2022-23 will be held online from December 4 to 10.

Jointly organised by the Ministry of Education and the Education Bureau, the expo will enable students aspiring to pursue further studies on the Mainland to gain a better understanding on the Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions for the 2022-23 academic year.

The 129 Mainland higher education institutions participating in the admission scheme will set up virtual exhibition booths to provide information on aspects such as faculties and subjects, admission criteria, the number of student places and tuition fees.

Ministry of Education representatives will explain the scheme’s application procedures and admission arrangements via live webcast.

As part of the sharing sessions that will be held during the expo, representatives of Mainland institutions will discuss topics on the characteristics of individual programmes, while representatives from the education and business sectors will provide career prospects analysis.

Participants can also join in on a discussion of study experience by Hong Kong students who graduated from Mainland institutions.

Such sharing sessions will be broadcast live on December 4 and 5 from 10am to 5.30pm. Playback will be available online thereafter during the expo.

Additionally, a handbook on the scheme, compiled by the bureau and the Hok Yau Club, will be delivered through schools to Secondary 6 students starting from mid-January 2022.
