Artificial island study advisors meet

The expert advisory panel for the study on the artificial islands in the Central Waters held its first meeting today.

 

During the meeting, the panel members had in-depth discussions with representatives from the Civil Engineering & Development Department, the Planning Department and consultants on various issues under the study.

 

Such issues included the artificial islands' planning and urban design principles, infrastructure works, transport planning, sustainability and carbon neutrality, as well as smart, green and resilient initiatives.

 

The panel, which was set up by the Government, comprises 10 non-official members who are academics, professionals and experts from various sectors.
