Jab centres to change opening hours

October 31, 2021

The Government today reminded citizens to take note of the latest opening hours of community vaccination centres (CVCs) under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.

From November 1, the CVCs will operate from 10am to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and will be closed on Wednesdays.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the opening hours will be from 8am to 8pm.

All CVCs will be closed between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on their working days for cleaning.

“People who are yet to receive vaccination should seize the chance to get vaccinated early for self-protection,” the Government urged.

Apart from making a jab appointment online, all eligible citizens can collect same-day tickets and get vaccinated at the CVCs (except those located at private hospitals) without booking in advance.

In addition, seven COVID-19 vaccination stations at public hospitals have operations to enable patients visiting the hospitals for follow-up appointments and visitors to get the BioNTech jab without prior booking. They operate from 10am to 7pm on weekdays (except public holidays) with no lunch break. The last vaccination timeslot is at 6.30pm.

People may also make reservations for receiving the Sinovac vaccine at the Ma On Shan Family Medicine Centre and Tin Shui Wai (Tin Yip Road) Community Health Centre under the Hospital Authority. They can also contact private doctors or clinics participating in the vaccination programme for getting the Sinovac jab, the Government added.
