Quarantine exemption to resume

October 28, 2021

The Government today announced that the quarantine exemption arrangement for people arriving in Hong Kong from Macau under the Return2hk Scheme and the Come2hk Scheme will resume from November 2 as the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Macau has stabilised.

Under the arrangements, after fulfilling all specified conditions under the Return2hk Scheme or the Come2hk Scheme, people currently staying in Macau can be exempt from the compulsory quarantine requirement when they enter Hong Kong.

From November 2, the online booking systems of the two schemes will be open for quota application for people entering from Macau.

The Government emphasised that all arrivals in Hong Kong under the Return2hk Scheme and the Come2hk Scheme will still be subject to multiple compulsory tests under the established requirements of the schemes.

These people should also exercise self-monitoring of their health conditions for at least 14 days after their entry into Hong Kong and observe the points listed in the Health-monitoring Checklist for Inbound Travellers.
