The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating six additional imported COVID-19 cases involving four women and two men who arrived from Russia, the Philippines, the UK and Indonesia.

Five of the cases involve mutant strains while the mutation test result of the remaining case is pending.

One of them tested positive during self-isolation at home after arrival under the relevant arrangement for exempted people. 

Three other cases tested positive during the test-and-hold arrangement upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport and the remaining two tested positive during quarantine.

The centre also reminded specified people linked to Two Island Place in North Point, Tung Yik Building and Block 20, Fortune Garden in Yuen Long to undergo compulsory testing in accordance with the compulsory testing notice tomorrow.

A total of 64 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, one of which is a local case with an unknown infection source and the rest are imported.
