The SciPOP Science Demonstration Contest will be open for enrolment from October 4 to November 25 from full-time Hong Kong secondary school students aged 15 or above.

Organised by the Science Museum and the Education Bureau, the contest provides a platform for students to demonstrate their science knowledge and talent in science communication.

While contestants must conduct a science demonstration with the use of props or hands-on experiments, they may choose their own topic under the theme of Earth Science.

Each school can nominate a maximum of two teams with each team made up of two to four students.

The top three teams can join the Young Scientists Study Tour 2022 free of charge.

A briefing session will be held at the museum’s lecture hall on October 5 at 4.30pm with simultaneous live streaming available through the competition website.

Teachers and students interested in attending the briefing session in person should send in the school name and participant number via email and access will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
