The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the Tseung Kwan O restricted area ended today with no confirmed COVID-19 cases found.
It made a restriction-testing declaration last night, requiring people living at Tower 2, Le Prestige, LOHAS Park to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. As at 1am today, about 1,340 residents were tested.
In the subsequent enforcement operation, more than 400 people’s test records were checked. Five people were found to have not undergone mandatory testing and were issued with a compulsory testing order.
Government staff also visited about 440 households in the restricted area, of which 40 did not answer the door. Follow-up measures will be taken.
According to the compulsory testing notice, people who stayed in the building for more than two hours from August 15 to September 6 must undergo compulsory testing by September 8 even if they were not in the restricted area when the declaration took effect.
