4 imported COVID-19 cases detected

August 10, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating four additional imported COVID-19 cases.

The patients arrived in Hong Kong from Germany, France, the US and Thailand.

A total of 37 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, one of which is a local case with an unknown infection source while the rest are imported.

Additionally, a school with an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection or influenza-like illness is covered in the compulsory testing notice today as a precaution.

There are 27 community testing centres and mobile specimen collection stations that provide a free service for people subject to compulsory testing.
