HK reports 2 imported COVID cases

July 23, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating two additional COVID-19 cases involving female patients who arrived from the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh.

In light of a previous non-locally confirmed case with the L452R mutant strain, container ship Maersk Lima at Kwai Tsing Container Terminals is included in a compulsory testing notice which requires specified people to get tested.

The Government will also extend the service period of a number of mobile specimen collection stations.

A total of 23 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, including 22 imported cases and one import-related case.
