Sport For All Day on Aug 1
The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will hold Sport For All Day 2021 on August 1 to encourage people of all ages and abilities to engage in regular sports and physical activities.
Various recreation and sports programmes will be offered at designated venues free of charge. Most of the department’s leisure facilities will also be open to the public for free.
To show support for Hong Kong athletes taking part in the Tokyo Olympics, fencing, badminton, table-tennis and other Olympic sports-related activities will be held at designated sports centres on the day for public participation.
There will also be dance and other sports demonstrations as well as sports activities for parents and children, and people with disabilities.
Activity coupons will be distributed from July 19 at respective District Leisure Services Offices and designated venues.
The fee-charging leisure facilities that will be open for free include sports facilities, fitness rooms and a cycling track, along with climbing walls, archery ranges, rope courses and public swimming pools.
Booking for free use of leisure facilities can be made at Leisure Link booking counters from July 25.
Additionally, dance and sports demonstrations will be featured in a live webcast via the event website and the LCSD Plusss Facebook page on the event day from 2pm.
