No new COVID-19 cases reported

July 12, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection said no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded as of 12am, July 12, leaving the number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong at 11,951 so far.

Since a few cases have recently been found at Hong Kong International Airport, any person who usually works at Terminal 1, the apron or midfield concourse has to undergo regular testing, including those who have completed a COVID-19 vaccination course.

A school that reported an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection or influenza-like illness is covered in the compulsory testing notice today as a precaution.

Specified people linked to Port Centre, Aberdeen and Chung Mei Building, Tai Kok Tsui Road must undergo compulsory testing tomorrow. The Government will set up mobile specimen collection stations at Nam Ning Street, Aberdeen and Beech Street, Tai Kok Tsui tomorrow to provide a free testing service for people subject to compulsory testing.

A total of 34 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, including one import-related case and one local case with unknown sources.
