3.61m vaccine jabs given

June 28, 2021

About 3,612,700 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 2,179,500 people receiving their first dose and around 1,433,200 getting their second dose.

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 942,800 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 1,236,700 people have received the BioNTech one.

For the second dose, about 582,600 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 850,600 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

About 12,000 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 9,000 people received their second dose under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 17,200 people received their first dose and about 13,200 people received their second dose.

Due to the suspension of vaccination services at community vaccination centres (CVCs) when the Black Rainstorm Warning was in force this morning, some bookings had been rescheduled to a later date. Therefore, the overall percentages of people who received the two vaccines at CVCs were not available today.

As of 8pm, about 7,200 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 27,200 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.

As of midnight, seven people were sent to hospitals.
