1 imported COVID-19 case reported

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating one additional COVID-19 case.

 

The imported case involves a 26-year-old woman who arrived from Indonesia.

 

A total of 31 cases have been reported in the past 14 days, including five local cases, of which one is from an unknown infection source.

 

Additionally, the centre is investigating an overseas case involving an 18-year-old woman who lives in Block 1, The Belcher's, 89 Pok Fu Lam Road and went to Shenzhen on May 5.

 

The centre was notified on May 19 by the Guangdong health authorities that the patient had been confirmed COVID-19 positive on the same day.

 

Epidemiological investigations and contact tracing are underway.

 

In view of the non-locally confirmed case who lives in Block 1, The Belcher's, the building along with six schools where outbreaks of upper respiratory tract infection had occurred, are covered in the compulsory testing notice.
