March exports up 23.4%

The volume of Hong Kong’s total goods exports increased 23.4% year-on-year in March, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.

 

The volume of goods imports for the month rose 19.8% compared to the same period last year.

 

Goods exports prices increased 2.4% year-on-year for the month, while prices of goods imports increased 1.8%.

 

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of goods exports increased 17.9% in the first quarter of 2021 compared with the fourth quarter of 2020, while the volume of goods imports rose 12.9%.
