1.41m vaccine doses given

About 1,413,600 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 916,300 people receiving their first dose and about 497,400 getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 430,300 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 486,000 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 310,700 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 186,700 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 6,500 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 3,000 people received the jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 3,500 were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 5,800 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 4,600 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 1,200 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 12,600 people received their first dose at CVCs and about 11,000 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 96%, the same as that for the BioNTech vaccine.

 

As of 8pm, about 5,000 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 16,900 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.

 

As of midnight, six people were sent to hospitals.
