8 COVID-19 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating eight additional COVID-19 cases, of which five are imported while the other three are epidemiologically linked with local cases.

 

The three local cases include a 51-year-old man who stays at The Royal Garden in Tsim Sha Tsui, a 42-year-old man living at Whampoa Garden in Hung Hom and a 39-year-old man who resides at Ocean Pride in Tsuen Wan.

 

The imported cases are from Indonesia, Turkey, Japan and India.

 

Meanwhile, six schools are included in the compulsory testing notice due to upper respiratory tract infection outbreaks.

 

A total of 146 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days, including 35 local cases, of which 17 are from unknown infection sources.
