1.3m vaccine doses given

About 1,302,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 860,000 people receiving their first dose and about 442,300 people getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 409,800 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 450,200 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 289,500 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 152,800 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 4,300 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 2,200 people received the jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 2,100 were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 6,800 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 4,600 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 2,300 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 12,800 people received their first dose at CVCs and about 2,900 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 96%, the same for that of the BioNTech vaccine.

 

As of 8pm, about 3,900 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 11,900 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.

 

As of midnight, five people were sent to hospitals.
