1.25m COVID-19 jabs given

About 1,253,200 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 828,300 people receiving their first dose and about 424,800 people getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 401,700 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 426,600 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 275,100 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 149,700 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 4,500 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 3,200 people received the jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 1,300 were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 8,500 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 6,800 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 1,700 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 17,000 people received their first dose at CVCs and about 100 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 97%, while that of the BioNTech vaccine is about 96%.

 

As of 8pm, about 3,500 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 10,900 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.

 

As of midnight, seven people were sent to hospitals.
