1.22m vaccine jabs administered

About 1,222,800 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 806,600 people receiving their first dose and about 416,200 people getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 397,200 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 409,400 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 266,600 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 149,600 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 4,300 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 1,800 people received the jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 2,500 were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 8,600 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 6,100 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 2,500 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 13,000 people received their first dose at CVCs and about 200 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 98%, while that of the BioNTech vaccine is about 96%.

 

As of 8pm, about 6,100 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 25,200 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.

 

As of midnight, 10 people were sent to hospital.
